Baku - Arrival Day

Upon arrival, will meet our local representative at the airport. We will transfer you to the hotel for check-in and accommodation, and you will be provided with a room key. Dinner and overnight in Baku.
Baku Old City Tour
(Breakfast and dinner included)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will start city tour today. We will visit the old town - Icheri Sheher, known as the Inner city. It is the historical core of Baku. For a long period, an explicit symbol of the Old City was a mulberry tree located behind the Djuma Mosque. It was believed that the tree was several hundred years old. The tree made its way into many sayings and songs popular in the Old City, and became a local landmark. The place where that tree was located was referred to as Mulberry Tree Square. However, in 1970s the mulberry tree was cut down, due to nearby construction works.
In the city, we will visit Palace of the Shirvanshahs, which is the biggest monument of the Shirvan-Absheron branch of the Azerbaijan architecture. In addition, we will visit the Maiden Tower, which features a landmark and one of the most distinctive national emblems of Azerbaijan. In December 2000 both of them became the first place in Azerbaijan, which is classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Finally, we will see that the Bukhara Caravanserai with its medieval courtyard served as a medieval hotel and a tavern in the 15th century, while the Multan Caravanserai dates to the 14th century. Both hotels were presumably built and used by merchants traveling by camel caravans from Bukhara (present-day Uzbekistan) and Multan (India). Both have since been transformed into restaurants that served traditional Azerbaijani cuisine.

Baku - Historical-Art Tour

Including Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape or simply Gobustan, is a hill and mountain site occupying the southeast ending of the Big Caucasian Ridge, mainly in the basin of Jeyrankechmez River, between the rivers Pirsaat and Sumgait.
Fire worshippers Temple where is the historical roots of the monument go back to the hoary past, to the days when Azerbaijan statehood was only taking shape and establishing itself and Zoroastrianism, the central part in whose ritual is played by fire, was the dominant religion in the country. It was believed that the flaming torches of gas, emitted from the ground and burnt in many places on the Absheron peninsula, have a wonderful divine power. Tonight Murty's tour organizes your dinner at a local restaurant t with the national cuisine and following an entertainment show.

Baku - Lahich – Gabala

After breakfast, we will depart for Ismayilli district village - Lahij. Lahij is a notable place in Azerbaijan with its authentic traditions of crafts, specially related to copper. The carpet of the village and rug crafts are also well known in Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus. Lahij has an old sewage system (some experts claim that it was built 1000 - 1500 years ago). Due to frequent earthquakes, local people have developed sophisticated and authentic construction techniques.
Afterwards, we will continue our drive to Gabala. Upon arrival, we will visit Chukhur-Gabala; the city has an interesting cultural center, with beautiful Soviet mosaics, a large war memorial, numerous ancient stone houses and the Rashidbek monument, which is shaped as a huge book. In addition, we will visit to rest zone "Seven beauties"
Dinner and overnight at the hotel “Karavan” in Gabala.
Gabala – Sheki 18 March 2013

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Shaki. Upon arrival, we will have an excursion around the city. Visit to the Palace of Shaki Khans (XVIII A.D.), where is the most outstanding and valuable monument of the 18th century in Azerbaijan. In addition, we will visit the resort zone "Markhal" and fortress "Galarsan-Gorarsan".

Sheki – Baku

After breakfast, we will drive back to Baku today. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to the hotel, and you will be provided with a room key. The rest of the day is leisure. You can walk around the city and do some shopping. Enjoy your day in Baku.
