After breakfast at the hotel, we will start our city tour. We will visit the old city - Icheri Sheher, as known as Inner city. It is the historical core of Baku. For a long period of time, an explicit symbol of the Old City was a mulberry tree located behind the Djuma Mosque. It was believed that, the tree was several hundred years old. The tree made its way into many sayings and songs popular in the Old City, and became a local landmark. The place where that tree was located was referred to as Mulberry Tree Square. However, in 1970s the mulberry tree was cut down, because of the nearby construction works.

In the city we will visit Shirvanshahs' Palace, which is the biggest monument of the Shirvan-Absheron branch of Azerbaijani architecture. We will also visit the Maiden Tower, one of the most spectacular national emblems of Azerbaijan. In December 2000, Maiden Tower and Shirvanshahs Palace were inclued in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Shirvanshahs Palace is considered one of the pearls of the architecture of Azerbaijan.

Then we will visit another World Heritage Site - the Gobustan Cultural Landscape. It covers three areas of the plateau of rocky boulders rising from the semi-desert of Central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of over 6,000 engravings, indicative of 40,000 - year - old rock art. The site also features the remains of inhabited caves, settlements and burial places, which reflects the intensive use by the human of the inhabitants of the area during the wet period that followed the last Ice Age, from the Upper Paleolithic to the Middle Ages. The site, which covers an area of 537 ha, is part of the largest protected Gobustan Reserve.

At the end of the tour, transfer, back to the hotel. Overnight in Baku.

The tour starts after breakfast. We will visit the Temple of Fire in Surakhani, it is a castle-like a temple and a monastery complex locally known as Ateshgah or Ateshgyakh. It is a Hindu temple. The complex was built on a inclouser of natural gas, which once produced a flame from seepage of natural gas.

Then, we head to drive to Shaki. Stopping the route on the plateau of active mud volcanoes on the 41st km of the highway. On the way, we will stop in Maraza to visit the Diri Baba mausoleum and visit Seven Tombs and Juma Mosque in Shamakhi.

Upon arrival Shaki, we will visit Shaki History Museum, Shaki Government Painting Gallery, Shebeke craft centre and showroom. At the end of the tour, transfer to the hotel and check in . Dinner and overnight in Shaki.

After breakfast we will go to the Shaki bazaar and look at the various local crafts including scarves, unique boxes, a lot of sweets, confectionery products and a local sweet bakery. Then we will visit Palace of Shaki Khans (XVIII A.D.), where is the most outstanding and valuable monument of the 18th century of Azerbaijan. At the end of the tour we will transfer you to the border with Georgia.
